In November 2000, the Association ‘Dialogue between Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox Christians’ was founded in Paris in order to promote exchanges and facilitate practical dialogue between Eastern Orthodox (or Chalcedonian) Christians (Greek, Russian, Romanian, Serbian, Bulgarian, etc) and Oriental Orthodox (or non-Chalcedonian) Christians (Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Syrian Orthodox and Malankara in India), by organizing lectures, concerts, pilgrimages, etc.
The president of the association is Protopresbyter Boris Bobrinskoy, the dean of the Orthodox Theological Insitute of Saint Sergius in Paris from 1993 to 2005. The vice-president is Michel Stavrou, Professor in the same Institute. The secretary and founder is Christine Chaillot who has written several books and articles on the life and spirituality of the Oriental Orthodox Churches.
In 2001 the Association was recognized by the Orthodox Fraternity in Western Europe.
